Hair color was the last thing that I wanted to do when I started my career in 2010 because it made no sense to me. I felt so discouraged that I put all of my time and energy into the art of haircutting. I quickly realized, however, that only cutting hair was not going to get me to where I wanted to be in my career because people will postpone haircut appointments, but they will not do the same with hair color. After quickly realizing this, I forced myself to learn hair color. There was one week in the first salon where I did a total of six color corrections. It was not until then that the lightbulbs started to go off for me. It started coming to light. I then said to myself wow- people are really making this a lot more complicated than it needs to be. In that moment I wanted to come up with a way to simplify color theory for other stylists while being relatable to them at the same time. One year after getting my teachers license in 2018, Color With Cole education was established in 2019. I was able to create an educational platform that caters to everyone’s needs. Color With Cole education is all about having fun while learning! I now help colorists grow and take their knowledge and skill set to the next level.
